Frequently

Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

We are not an in-network provider with any insurance carrier. We are considered a cash based practice. If you wish to seek reimbursement from your insurance company for our fees, we can provide you with a super bill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Some of the lab work we order is generally covered by insurance; however, the more specialized lab work may not be covered, depending on your specific insurance plan.

It is your responsibility to contact your insurance company to determine the exact policies of your insurance company before committing to appointments with us. Please note that if you choose to submit our invoices to your insurance company for reimbursement, virtual or telemedicine consultations may or may not be covered by your insurance.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Bank drafts (ACH), Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, HSA and FSA cards are accepted.

Do both parents need to attend the appointments?

Though not required, we do recommend both caregivers attend the initial consultation and follow up appointments when possible. It is our experience that patient outcomes improve when we work with all those involved in administering the plan of care.

Both parents are required to sign the Praxis Integrative Pediatrics PLLC New Patient Consent Form.

What type of appointments do you offer?

We use both in person and telemedicine.

In person appointments are required on the first visit.

Well checks and some acute sick visits are done in person only.

For your convenience, Follow-up visits and some sick visits can be done via telemedicine or in person.

How are appointments made?

First time appointments are made by clicking make an appointment on our website.

Subsequent appointments are made through the patient portal.

Does my child need a diagnosis for treatment?

No. Whether your child has a new diagnosis, a long-time diagnosis, no diagnosis, or simply coming for preventative wellness, we treat children ages 1 month to 11 years old in various stages of health and recovery.

Do you diagnose Autism?

We do not diagnose Autism, we offer integrative, biomedical treatments for Autism.

What is the cancelation policy?

For the Initial Comprehensive Consultation:

Due to the amount of preparation time required prior to the Initial Comprehensive Consultation Visit, we require a minimum of 5 business days (M-F) advanced notice of your appointment time when canceling. We must charge for cancellations received less than 5 business days prior to the appointment time.

For all other visits:

We require a minimum of 2 business days (M-F) advanced notice of your appointment time when canceling for follow-up consultations, sick visits, and well-child check-ups, whether they are in person or virtual. Please go to urgent care for urgent needs, or for emergency needs, call 911 or go to an emergency room if you have emergency needs.
